Steps up to hotel are very steep and dangerous. One communal shower and toilet between 6 big rooms. No towels provided. Can't check in until 2.30 which was a problem when you want to offload your luggage early

Cheap and close to the Amsterdam Science Park. Showers were better than I expected. The room was simple, but clean. I had a single room (401)
Didn't realise how much of a stoner den it is - strong smoke smell in the entrance and public area. Reception is supposedly 24 hours, but they didn't like being woken at 8:30am. Not a morning venue.

We arrived later than planned due to poor traffic travelling by car from Germnay. Our four hour journey turned into a seven hour joureny and we arrived at the hotel just after 11pm. Once at the hotel there were a group of girls requesting a room for the night, the receptionist provided the girls with a six bed dorm and charged them 110 euros each for one night. Once they were checked in we showed him our booking confirmation. The receptionist looked panicked and stated 'you hotel reservation here has been cancelled here.' When asked why, he responded that the card details were incorrect. We stated that there had been no email from either the hotel or Booked.net and the card details were correct as my bank providers requested a further password on booking to verify the account details and proof that it was myself making the booking. He then back-tracked and said that '10% of people don't show at the hotel and we had arrived late.' It appears that he had actually given our hotel room to the previous group of girls. We then requested that he attempt to find us alternative rooms. Six young females at 11.30pm in an area that neither of us had been before was not an ideal situation. The receptionist found us two rooms, each with two cot beds. Due to the time and vulnerability of attempting to find another hotel at this time, we agreed. Six girls, in two very small rooms, with four cot sized beds. We had an aweful night and two slept on the floors with clothes as you could not physically 'top-tail' in these beds. As they hadn't given away our dorm for the second night we were able to sleep in a six bed dorm as booked. We found the helpfullness and manner in which our booking was dealt with horrendous. The receptionist and the other workers in the hotel were male, confrontatational and rude. On the second night after a night out, we ordered some pizzas and sat in the public dining room.

A storage space and a safe box in the room, particularly good location. Incredibly nice staff with knowledge of the place.
